Down 6 runs, Tigers fight back only to lose to Arizona in 9th

DETROIT -- The Arizona Diamondbacks lost a six-run lead, then reclaimed it in the ninth inning, sending the Detroit Tigers to a 7-6 defeat Tuesday at Comerica Park.

The first pitch thrown in the ninth inning by Tigers closer Justin Wilson was lined over the wall in left-center field by David Peralta, breaking a 6-6 tie that had persisted since the Tigers' explosion in a wild sixth inning.

Diamondbacks starter Zack Greinke seemed untouchable through five innings, but then his defense abandoned him.

After retiring the first batter in the sixth inning, Greinke gave up a single to Ian Kinsler.
