One day, the Detroit Tigers won’t be as bad as they were in Friday’s 13-4 loss to the Cleveland Indians.
But for now, they’re exactly this bad. They gave up 17 hits. They made two simple fielding errors that led to six unearned runs. They lost for the fourth time in five games and dropped to 25-41.
But manager Ron Gardenhire knows what this is. It’s part of the plan.
“It’s going to be OK,” Gardenhire said after the game. “We’ve just got to keep going through the war. Eventually we’ll get there to where we feel good about ourselves.
