The Toledo Mud Hens have had a star-studded lineup through the season’s first few months with Justin Verlander and Bruce Rondon trying to get back into big league shape down on the farm, now they will see Victor Martinez added to the lineup for a string of games.
The Detroit Tigers announced on Saturday that V-Mart would being a four-game stint in Toledo beginning Sunday. At the end of that period the 36-year-old designated hitter would be reevaluated. If all goes well, he will rejoin the big league club next weekend in New York for the series with the Yankees.
