KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Tyson Ross sat in his locker, mixing a post-game recovery shake on the floor, when reporters approached with questions about his latest start.
“Just trying not to make a mess,” he said.
A short while earlier, Ross had, indeed, made a mess. In the bottom of the third inning of the Detroit Tigers’ 8-2 loss to the Braves on Wednesday afternoon, the veteran right-hander wild, then gave up several hits before eventually allowing a grand slam.
