Detroit Tigers outfielder Tyler Collins will stay in the organization.
The outfielder entered the year as a potential starter for Detroit.
With Cameron Maybin traded and J.D. Martinez, the opportunity for the out-of-options for Collins was certainly there.
In 40 games, the 26-year-old certainly showed promise, with multiple three-hit outings against Seattle in late April, as well as a multiple home run effort against Baltimore on May 17.
However, the overall numbers for Collins weren’t there.
His WAR sits at 0.0, while he struck out 31.5 percent of the time.
