Detroit Tigers: Tyler Alexander to make big league debut against White Sox

RHP Tyler Alexander is set to make his major league debut on Wednesday night in the second game of the Detroit Tigers’ doubleheader against the White Sox in Chicago. With rookie sensation Spencer Turnbull currently on the IL, the Tigers have yet again had to reshuffle the starting rotation, freeing up a spot for Alexander to finally show what he’s got on the big league level.

The Detroit Tigers selected Tyler Alexander in the 23rd round of the 2013 MLB Draft as the right-hander was coming out of high school. However, Alexander did not sign with the Tigers then and went on to play college baseball at TCU.
