It was a solid season of progression in the Detroit Tigers’ minor league system this year.
Some of their top prospects, like center fielder Daz Cameron and right-handed starting pitcher Matt Manning, made big strides and the farm system was aided by recent draftees who received promotions, like second baseman Kody Clemens and outfielder Brock Deatherage.
There were some downfalls, too, like the lost season by righty Franklin Perez, who was injured, and the lack of depth at certain positions, like first base.
