Detroit Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire is ready to let the real fun begin.
Since July 3, the team has participated in simple tasks — batting practice, bullpen sessions and fielding drills. Everything is going to shift Wednesday, when intrasquad games will begin, as the Tigers prepare for the season opener July 24 at Cincinnati.

1. Readying for intrasquad games
Outside of exhibitions at Cincinnati on July 21 and 22, the Tigers won't get many live in-game reps throughout baseball's reboot.
