At Comerica Park.
The Detroit Tigers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, 5-2, on Friday night at Comerica Park. Miguel Cabrera returned to the lineup after nearly a month off. He went 1-for-3. Blaine Hardy allowed two runs over six innings. The Tigers were propelled by a four-run bottom of the second inning. In it, JaCoby Jones hit a two-run triple and Jeimer Candelario hit an RBI single. Nicholas Castellanos homered. The Tigers are 27-30, and 3-0 since Wednesday's #RallyGoose incident.
Starting off: Hardy gave his normal solid performance. He had issues throwing too many pitches early, consistently going to full counts and walked the leadoff batter twice, but gave the Tigers six innings.
