Detroit Tigers stave off 110th loss of the season with win over Sox

The Detroit Tigers played the final game of a three-game series with the White Sox today and managed to pull off a rare win. They were able to stave off their 110th loss of the season as they beat Chicago six to three.

Matthew Boyd got the start and earned his ninth win on the season. It wasn’t his best performance, however, as he gave up eight hits and three runs in five innings. Boyd has struggled with keeping the ball in the park all year and gave up another home run in today’s game. He did enough to keep the lead intact and earn the win, though, which was good to see.
