LAKELAND, Fla. — Sitting on a bench next to Alan Trammell, surveying the scene on a Tuesday afternoon in Tiger Town. It’s as cool as it seems, at least as cool as 80 degrees can be.
Trammell, special assistant to general manager Al Avila and a newly elected Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, is going to be here all spring, he says.
