The Detroit Tigers beat the Baltimore Orioles, 13-8, on Thursday afternoon to complete a three-game series sweep. Leonys Martin hit his first career grand slam as part of a five-run fifth inning. He finished a double short of the cycle, finishing 3-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBIs. Jeimer Candelario finished 4-for-4 with a walk and three RBIs.
It was the third straight win for the Tigers and the sixth straight loss for the Orioles.
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the first on an RBI single by Victor Martinez and added four more runs in the second to take a 5-2 lead.
