Less than 48 hours after the Detroit Tigers selected Riley Greene with the No. 5 overall pick in this year’s MLB draft, they have taken care of their first order of business.
Greene has signed his contract, the team announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Greene, 18, is an outfielder from Oviedo (Fla.) Hagerty High School. He is considered the best prep bat in the draft, according to Baseball America.
