On Friday afternoon, the team announced the signing of their fourth-round pick, Arizona State third baseman Gage Workman.
Workman is believed to have signed for the full slot value of $571,400.
The 20-year-old has big power potential: He is a switch-hitter who hit .330 with eight home runs and 42 RBIs as a rookie. Though he likely will start at third base, Workman could play other positions in the future.
