Detroit Tigers set 25-man Opening Day roster with no surprises

The Tigers’ Opening Day roster has been set.

The team finalized their roster on Wednesday night, announcing a 25-man roster which consists of 13 position players and 12 pitchers.

Among them were no surprises. Starting on the 10-day disabled list are right-handers Mike Fiers and Johnny Barbato.

The Tigers’ everyday players will be James McCann at catcher, Miguel Cabrera at first base, Dixon Machado at second base, Jose Iglesias at shortstop and Jeimer Candelario at third base.
