The Detroit Tigers season is a near certainty to be ending when the final out is recorded at U.S. Cellular Field on October 4, but for several prospects within the organization, their season will play on.
That is because the organization tabbed seven players to play in the Arizona Fall League, usually reserved for young players on the cusp of the majors or to allow teams to try them at different positions as a sort of jump start toward Spring Training.
Three right handed pitchers will join a first baseman, shortstop and outfielder in Arizona and play for the Scottsdale Scorpions.
