Detroit Tigers send down Buck Farmer after 1 game; Bobby Parnell up

Buck Farmer's latest stint with the Detroit Tigers -- his fifth this season -- lasted less than 24 hours.

The Tigers sent him back to Triple-A Toledo after Tuesday night's game, making room for fellow right-handed reliever Bobby Parnell to be called up for today's game against the Cleveland Indians (12:10 p.m., FSD). Farmer had been called up earlier Tuesday.

Parnell is in his second stint with the Tigers this season. He has appeared in 30 games with the Mud Hens and has a 0-0 record with nine saves and a 3.
