Detroit Tigers retire Alan Trammell's No. 3: See Hall of Famer's speech

The Detroit Tigers added to their list of retired numbers on Sunday by painting Alan Trammell's No. 3 on the brick wall beyond left-center field.

Trammell, along with former teammate Jack Morris, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame last month in Cooperstown, N.Y.

Sunday's ceremony was the culmination of Trammell's big year, as he joins Charlie Gehringer (2), Hank Greenberg (5), Al Kaline (6), Hal Newhouser (16, Willie Horton (23), Morris (47) and Ty Cobb (honored but didn't wear a number with Tigers).

Two of Trammell's former teammates took to the podium first in the pre-game ceremony.
