The Detroit Tigers are reportedly planning to cross former player George Lombard off their long list of candidates to interview for the open managerial position.
Currently, Lombard serves as the Los Angeles Dodgers' first-base coach.
Yet an interview hasn't been officially scheduled, according to MLB Network's Jon Morosi, because the Dodgers are in Arlington, Texas, for the National League Division Series. Game 1 against the San Diego Padres is scheduled for Tuesday.
