The Detroit Tigers are hoping for the best.
But whenever a pitcher is scheduled for an appointment with orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews, there is always cause for concern.
After experiencing discomfort in recent bullpen sessions, right-handed pitching prospect Bryan Garcia will meet with Andrews next week, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

It will mark the second time Garcia has visited Andrews: He dealt with arm soreness last season but responded well to rest and threw during the team’s instructional league in the fall.
