The Detroit Tigers have 2022 Opening Day slated for March 31 at T-Mobile Park in Seattle against the Mariners.
But first, the Tigers must get through a 33-game spring training schedule.
That schedule begins with an exhibition Feb. 25 against Southeastern University at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Florida, before Grapefruit League competition starts Feb. 26 against the Washington Nationals in Lakeland.
On Feb. 27, the Tigers play their first road game against the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton.
Entering the 2022 season, the Tigers are expected to boast a trio of second-year pitchers in the starting rotation: Casey Mize, Tarik Skubal and Matt Manning.
