It has been nine days since the Detroit Tigers last won a baseball game.

Not even the worst team in the major leagues — the Marlins, who arrived at Comerica Park for the start of a three-game series on Tuesday afternoon at 13-31 — could provide an antidote.

After scoring two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to push the game into extra innings, right-handed reliever Joe Jimenez was once again the Tigers’ fall man, allowing a game-winning RBI double to Chad Wallach in the 11th inning.
