The Detroit Tigers have turned the page on a few of their veterans in the organization to trim the roster.
The team announced Thursday it has outrighted four players to Toledo who then chose free agency: left-handed relievers Blaine Hardy and Daniel Stumpf, right-hander Victor Alcantara and catcher/first baseman John Hicks.
Hardy tweeted on Thursday a goodbye message to Detroit, writing: "I am truly fortunate to have gotten the opportunity to play for such a great organization, in front of such amazing fans, and to have lived in such a great city!
