LAKELAND, Fla. — The Detroit Tigers optioned struggling right-hander Beau Burrows, a first-round draft pick, to Triple-A Toledo on Friday in order to help him work on his mechanics in a lower-pressure environment.
“He’s feeling really good,” manager Ron Gardenhire said. “They’ve made some headway on where he’s at and getting his velo back. We just talked to him about ‘don’t try to rush anything; you’ve just got to take care of your body and your arm.
