LAKELAND, Fla. — The position-player portion of the Detroit Tigers’ roster is set.

With utilityman Ronny Rodriguez being optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Saturday morning, veteran middle infielder Gordon Beckham has made the 25-man roster to start the season.

In an additional move to Rodriguez’s option, the Tigers selected Beckham’s contract, adding him to the 40-man roster. They made room for Beckham by placing Michael Fulmer on the 60-day injured list.
