But, forecasters say, don't expect picture-perfect weather Friday. Instead, be prepared for some intermittent showers with lightning and a good chance of white and opaque graupel.
For those who don't know their German, it's also known as soft, small pellets — or as University of Michigan fans say, hail. But, not that kind of hail. The kind that falls from cumulonimbus clouds.
"It snowed last year," said National Weather Service meteorologist Steve Freitag in White Lake Township. "It's to be expected. If you are a diehard, you don't care — you're out there.
