The Detroit Tigers’ winning ways at Comerica Park was short-lived.
After snapping a 10-game home losing streak in Tuesday’s 9-6 win over Tampa Bay, the Tigers’ offense disappeared again, resulting in Wednesday night’s 4-0 loss to the Rays.
Tigers starter Spencer Turnbull (3-5) was decent in the loss, throwing five innings and allowing three earned runs on five hits and three walks. He threw 92 pitches and struck out four.
The Tigers (23-35) had no answer against Rays starter Charlie Morton (7-0, 2.30 ERA), who allowed five hits and no walks in seven innings.
