A day after the DetroitTigers and New York Yankees were rained out, the two teams played a doubleheader under a gray sky Thursday afternoon.
In the first game, both teams threatened to score a bunch. Only one did.
Taking advantage of left-hander Matthew Boyd’s home run issues, the Yankees beat the Tigers, 10-4, at Comerica Park.
Boyd allowed two, which served as his only mistakes of the game.
