Detroit Tigers notes: Cameron Maybin has CT scan on injured wrist

LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Detroit Tigers are hopeful their starting centerfielder didn't suffer any structural damage, but they're not taking any risks.

Cameron Maybin did not participate in the team's morning workouts Thursday, March 3, and was scheduled to have a CT scan on his injured left wrist, Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said.

"He said he felt pretty good," Ausmus said. "It felt like a bruise. We're going to take a CT scan, just to make sure."

Maybin, already dealing with a sore right shoulder, was plunked in his hand by New York starting pitcher Luis Severino with one out in the second inning of Wednesday's 10-9 loss to the Yankees.
