DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers and Joakim Soria expressed mutual interest in a reunion earlier this month.
Not anymore.
In light of the arrival of closer Francisco Rodriguez, talks between the Tigers and Soria have stalled.
Asked if a reunion between the Tigers and Soria is still possible, a source familiar with the situation said: "There's a slight possibility, but it's very doubtful."
The breakdown in talks between the two sides shouldn't come as a big surprise, given the acquisition of Rodriguez and the heavy amount of interest Soria has garnered from other teams this offseason.
