The Detroit Tigers won Game 7 of the 1968 World Series on October 10, 1968. It was an exciting 4-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals, one that stayed scoreless for six innings until Jim Northrup lined a two-run triple over the head of Cardinals center fielder Curt Flood. The Tigers added a couple of insurance runs, and starter Mickey Lolich shut things down from there to earn his third win of the series.
