This past Thursday was a rather eventful day for the Detroit Tigers, supplying both good and bad news. While Tigers fans are becoming more and more accustomed to depressing updates on the team at this point, there is a bit of yin to the yang in this case.
Riley Greene, the Tigers’ first-round pick of the 2019 amateur draft and fifth selection overall, has been promoted to Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps. He is the first Tigers high school draftee to reach Low-A in his draft year since the unforgettable Keith Smith did so back in 1994.
