Welcome to another edition of “Around the Tail”, a new weekly recap of the Detroit Tigers and random news from around the MLB. Let’s start with the recent roster changes.
The Tigers made a trade on Wednesday as they trade for Cleveland Indians catcher Eric Hasse for cash considerations. With Austin Romine, Jake Rogers, and Grayson Greiner on the 40-man roster, it will be interesting which players head up to Detroit come spring. Rogers, Greiner, and Hasse all have minor league options left. Hasse possesses a strong arm and showed it off in his time with his two years in Triple-A Columbus, throwing out 46% of the runners.
