Before the Triple-A season begins in May, the Detroit Tigers will host an extended spring training camp at the alternate training site at Fifth Third Field in Toledo for players not included on the active 26-man roster.
It's unclear how many players, and which players, will participate.
But the Toledo Mud Hens announced Thursday a seven-game home schedule against other alternate camps, meaning the Tigers won't be confined to workouts and intrasquad scrimmages against their teammates.
The Tigers open the alternate camp schedule in Toledo at 2:15 p.m. April 8 against the Chicago Cubs.
