After a solid win against Minnesota yesterday, the Detroit Tigers entered today’s game with high hopes. The Twins got to Detroit early, however, getting a five-run lead in the second inning and never looking back. While the Tigers were able to score a few, they couldn’t keep pace with the Twins and would go on to lose the game eight to three.
Spencer Turnbull‘s struggles on the mound continued today as he earned loss number 14 on the season. Turnbull had issues commanding the strike zone early, which led to a big five-run second inning for Minnesota.
