MINNEAPOLIS — Miguel Cabrera earned himself a half day on Saturday.
After playing the first game of a split doubleheader against the Twins, Cabrera was ejected early in the nightcap.
In the starting lineup at designated hitter, Cabrera grounded out to end the top of the first inning and then was tossed early in the bottom half from the dugout.
It is unclear why Cabrera was ejected, though the assumption is for arguing balls and strikes with home plate umpire Chad Whitson.
