Detroit Tigers' Michael Fulmer begins (trade value) rehab in minors

Michael Fulmer is back on the mound.

The Detroit Tigers’ ace right-hander will begin his minor league injury rehabilitation assignment on Tuesday night for Class A Lakeland, according to the team.

Fulmer has been on the 10-day disabled list with a left oblique strain since July 20.

Since Fulmer has been out nearly a month, he likely will need a few rehab starts to adequately rebuild his pitch count, which would put him on target to return to the Tigers near the end of the month. This is assuming no further issues arise in his rehabilitation.
