In perhaps but probably not Matthew Boyd’s final start as a Detroit Tiger at Comerica Park, the left-hander once again showed why he is one of the top starting pitchers on the trade market.
Boyd, who has received interest from many contending teams, was on his game again.
He threw six solid innings, allowing two runs on five hits. He struck out eight batters, walked two. But Boyd was not able to walk away with the win.
