LAKELAND, Fla. — On the third day without normalcy, with the Detroit Tigers’ clubhouse still closed to the media temporarily but also for the foreseeable future, Matthew Boyd was requested by reporters to speak.
Thursday morning, though, was far less normal than the previous two since Major League Baseball joined other major sporting organizations in eliminating clubhouse access to the media in a precautionary measure to curb the contagious coronavirus that has the world on edge.
