On Tuesday, the Detroit Tigers' regular TV guys, Mario Impemba and Rod Allen, called the game from Chicago.
On Wednesday, in a rare mid-series shift, they were nowhere to be found.
We are beginning to learn why.
The Athletic reports that there was a physical incident between Impemba and Allen after Tuesday's game. Matt Shepard and Kirk Gibson replaced them in the booth on Wednesday.
When reached for comment, a spokesperson at Fox Sports Detroit said: "We’re addressing an internal matter and will not have any further comment at this time."
The Athletic reports that Shepard and Gibson were brought in at "the last minute" and that arrangements for both Impemba, 55, and Allen, 58, to return to Detroit were made separately "to avoid further issues.
