LAKELAND, Fla. — In perhaps the most exciting pitching slate to date, Detroit Tigers right-hander Michael Fulmer will make his first appearance of spring training on Wednesday, starting against the New York Yankees.

Fulmer has looked fully healthy this spring, wearing a right knee brace during activities, and the Yankees’ big bats should provide a good late February test.

Also on the slate Wednesday: Righties Casey Mize and Kyle Funkhouser.
