Late in the Detroit Tigers’ game against the Braves on Thursday afternoon at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium, Major League Baseball announced the final two weeks of spring training play would be suspended and the first two weeks of the regular season – dating to April 8 - pushed back.
The Tigers lost to the Braves, 5-3. They finished the Grapefruit League schedule at 8-9.
