PHILADELPHIA — A day after the Detroit Tigers placed second baseman Josh Harrison on the 10-day injured list, the team received good news.
An MRI scan on Harrison’s left shoulder came back clean, showing inflammation, but no tears. He is taking medicine to reduce the inflammation and could receive a cortisone shot in the near future, manager Ron Gardenhire said.
“He’ll be good to go here in a few days,” Gardenhire said. “Until he dives again.”
Though the exact play in which Harrison was injured is not known, Gardenhire said he believes the injury built up over the past two weeks.
