CLEVELAND — The Detroit Tigers were hurt, again, by the Indians.
They lost on Friday night, 10-0, at Progressive Field. Their meetings this season have largely been mismatches which, given the composition of both teams — one an American League contender, the other a rebuilding team — is not so much a surprise.
The game was put out of reach in the bottom of the seventh inning, when right-handed reliever Johnny Barbato allowed five runs on three hits, including a grand slam to Yonder Alonso.
Afterwards, Barbato finally spoke up: He, too, was hurt.
