For a while, centerfielder JaCoby Jones was the hottest hitter in the Detroit Tigers lineup helping to really drive the struggling offense forward. Now, with Jones on the 10-Day IL, it seems as if a different Tiger may be beginning to take over as the hot bat in the Detroit lineup.
Jeimer Candelario has been showing plenty of signs lately of heating up in the batter’s box, and Saturday’s performance was the biggest yet. The “Candy Man” smashed two home runs off Red Sox pitcher and former Tiger Rick Porcello and finished the night with three RBI.
