Back to back home runs from Miguel Cabrera and Brandon Dixon tied the game at two in the second inning, but after that, it was pretty much downhill for the Detroit Tigers on Friday. The Tigers were able to jump out to a 3-2 lead in the third, but an eight-run fourth inning for Cleveland blew the game out of the water.
Tigers starter Ryan Carpenter took the losing decision in his second rough start in a row. Carpenter surrendered eight runs, six of them earned, on eight hits in just three innings to bump his season ERA up to a dismal 8.
