Detroit Tigers third baseman Isaac Paredes remembers crushing grand slam to left field for his first MLB home run, propelling his team to a 10-5 win over the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field on Aug. 21.
Now, the 21-year-old is doing the same in Mexico.
Playing for Venados de Mazatlán in the Mexican Pacific Winter League, Paredes hit a fourth-inning grand slam to left field Wednesday off 35-year-old lefty Orlando Lara to give his team a 6-5 lead. Batting third in the lineup, he finished 4-for-5 with four RBIs.
