Joe Vavra has tried to keep tabs on all of the Detroit Tigers' hitters since the abrupt end to spring training due to the coronavirus pandemic.
One prominent player has proved elusive.
Vavra, the team's new batting coach, hasn't heard directly from the team's longtime star Miguel Cabrera for awhile.
"I'm not sure what number he gave me," Vavra said on Friday. "That's on my list today, to track that guy down.
