The Detroit Tigers announced a couple of bits of injury news on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the second game in a three-game series against the Kansas City Royals. Most significantly, the Tigers released their lineup for Wednesday night’s matchup and it did not include Niko Goodrum, who left Tuesday night’s loss with a knee injury.
Goodrum left the game on Tuesday after hitting a foul ball off his own right knee, which you can see here courtesy of MLB.com. An initial MRI came back negative, per CBS Sports, and the exclusion of Goodrum from Wednesday’s lineup was pretty much expected.
