Daz Cameron was selected by the Astros in the second round of the 2015 MLB Draft, the same draft in which Houston drafted Alex Bregman in the first round. Cameron is yet to make an appearance in the big leagues, but ever since coming into the Detroit Tigers organization, he has risen through the ranks and looks poised for a major league breakthrough sooner rather than later.
MLB.com ranks Cameron as the Tigers’ number five overall prospect, making him the second-highest ranked position player. The 22-year-old started 2018, his first full season in the Detroit Tigers system, with Single-A Lakeland and was able to climb all the way up to Triple-A Toledo by the end of the year.
